Location
Alaska's Wilderness Lodge is located
145 nm Southwest of Anchorage in Lake Clark National Park. Lake Clark
National Park comprises a big part of the fabled trophy fishing waters of
Bristol Bay, Alaska. Lake Clark National Park is the third
largest National Park in the United States and is home to a wide variety of
wildlife, including Moose, Brown Bear, Dahl Sheep, Bald Eagles, Foxes,
Wolves, and many other animals that you would expect to see during a
vacation in Alaska. In fact, many of these animals can be seen right
outside our front window at any time of the day. There have been many
dinners interrupted by the sighting of a Moose in the pond next to the
lodge, or an eagle soaring by the front window, or a group of Dahl sheep on
the side of Mt. Tanalian.

The main lodge sits up from
the lake on a point of land overlooking the Alaskan Mountain Range.
From that vantage point the view of the lake and the mountains is unmatched
in Alaska. We like to think that our view has inspired many of our
return clients. Each of our seven individual cabins are situated on
the lake with an equally inspiring view, and a balcony to relax on after a
full day fishing.

The lodge is located very close to several world class
salmon and trout
streams,... and others that are less well know but hold excellent fish. Our three DeHavilland
Beaver aircraft will take you to the fishing location of your choice every
day. With an operating range of 150 nm from the lodge there isn't any
world class fishing opportunity in the Bristol Bay area we aren't able to reach from the lodge. Of course, there are always those
rare days when you either don't feel like flying out, or weather prohibits it.
In those instances, a short walk, or boat ride from the lodge will put you
into fish. |
